The San Diego Mariners were a World Hockey Association team in San Diego. The team was founded in 1972-73 as an inaugural franchise in Manhattan, New York as the New York Raiders. The team was renamed the New York Golden Blades in 1973-74 and moved during the season to Cherry Hill, New Jersey as the Jersey Knights. The team moved in 1974-75 to San Diego as the San Diego Mariners and folded after the 1976-77 season.
